What is the GDPR ?

The GDPR is a new privacy law that harmonizes and modernizes data protection requirements across all EU countries and is designed to improve how organizations handle personal data. This is a law designed to protect the rights of natural persons in the EU.

Although there are many new requirements and some are being strengthened, the basic principles remain unchanged. New rules have considerably broadened the definition of personal data and the scope to include all businesses, even those based outside the European Union, when they collect personal information about natural persons living in Europe.
